  2. I started writing my first book on Marci last year, then set it aside for awhile because of day job. Now that I'm writing full time (yes, quit the day job!) I hope to have Sacred Murder published by Feb 2012. I think an author's first book does take a bit longer since we are finding our writing style.

  4. Hi Louise, I agree, the first book seems to take forever (for me at least) but we get there in the end. Good luck with 'Sacred Murder'.

  5. I used to think the first book was the hardest, but now I'm beginning to feel it's writing and achieving the same results with the second that may be the real trick!

  7. Happy Halloween Hop, Jill - good to *meet* you! Each of my books also takes at least a year, so I was shocked when I looked up an old horror novel to review for another blog and found that the author wrote over 250 books !?! I don't see how there are enough hours in the day...

  8. Hi Shelley, It's good to meet you too. That author you reviewed should be given a medal. If not for writing then for devoting his or her entire existence to writing. I'd need a few lifetimes to write that many books.
